Death of a child

Death is unfair.

My friend in work received the worst news. His niece, 2 years old last week, die Thursday night/Friday morning.

Her 4 year old brother had went down to get a drink and she followed. My friend sister was awoken by the brother saying his sisters name and she found her daughter at the bottome of the stairs.

I have 2 nieces and can only imagine part of the pain he is suffering and even less of his sister's pain.

Even now, over 16 hours later since I heard, tears still come to my eyes as I think of the loss of such a young life.

No matter how strong I build the wall around me, death of someone I know cuts through it. Death of a child, reduces it to rubble.
